This place is awesome. It’s out of our way but so worth it. The house sauce is delicious! Home made beschmel sauce. I order extra on the side. The waitstaff are so nice! Even the coffee is exceptional.

I consider myself somewhat of a diner aficionado around Detroit/Eastside and you have about 3 categories: the Bad (extremely rare), the high end Coney Islands (about 85% of the diners in the area) and then the few Stand Outs. Dan's Diner is a Stand Out. It's extremely high quality but what sets it apart is the special offerings on their menu First off, their omelettes are unique and incredible. If you want, they put a sauce on top of each one of them. I got the Italian Sausage omelette with Swiss Cheese and it was very very good. The Italian Sausage pieces were fresh, good size and high quality. The cheese was also high quality and plentiful What set it over the top though was the Mushroom Sauce they put on top of it. It was awesome! Very high quality mushroom cream sauce and it made an otherwise good omelette into a great one! Each omelette comes with either cheesy hasbrowns or regular hashbrowns and a pancake or toast. I don't eat bread but I got the cheesy hashbrowns and then added their hand cut French fries as an extra side Again, both went above and beyond typical diner fare, with the hash browns being extra crispy and well seasoned and the fries were crispy as well with a unique seasoning. Again, amongst diner food in the area, Dan's stood out and its prices were extremely fair for all the extras each omelette came with The location is great. It's a great sized restaurant with tons of booths and room. You're not stacked on top of each other here. I also like that there are a ton of windows at the restaurant. My service was incredible with multiple waitresses making sure that my coffee and water were filled. Each one of them was extremely pleasant. Food came out quickly. Highly recommend!

Very good food- fresh and delicious. The cooks & the waitresses do a wonderful job. I love their cinnamon raisin French toast, all of their soups, their Double burger is amazing! So much to enjoy here- definitely recommend 💯%
Oh my God! Love Dans Diner! The staff are so friendly! They treat you like they are glad you came in. I always place 2-3 different orders over the phone & EVERYTIME, our orders are correct!Unfortunately this is unusual nowadays at other places. I love this place! Breakfast and lunch deals during the week are so good, the food gets out quickly, and the staff is very friendly. This place is a must and the fries are some of the best ever! Everyone who I’ve brought here also loved the place and ask to come back.

This is a gem of a diner! They are fast, friendly, and priced right. The food here is top notch. The key is in the little added details: the sauce on the omelettes, the fresh cut French fries and high quality ingredients. Another area in which Dan’s excels in cleanliness. Stopped into Dan’s Diner for breakfast and was blown away. I ordered the Country Omelette and also tried the Farmer’s Omelette, and both were absolutely delicious. The Country Omelette was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, while the Farmer’s Omelette was hearty, fresh, and loaded with ingredients. The portions were generous, everything came out hot, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole diner had a welcoming hometown atmosphere. If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot, Dan’s Diner is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back to order these again and try more from the menu. Highly recommend!
